Ogi is the place to work if drinking, brewing and serving coffee to customers to smell, taste and enjoy the warmth and pleasantness a well-prepared coffee drink brings. As a barister at Ogi, you play a key and instrumental role in ensuring our continued success and growth. You will become a member of a team that loves to provide lasting experience for customers and team members. In this role, you will arrive at the shop at an appropriate time of the day where you can get the store ready for a successful day for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Follow the specifications and guidelines provided to produce each baked good.
- Maintain clean ovens and baking areas in the kitchen.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Provide coaching to other staff as needed.
- Be punctual for assigned shift and have fun performing your duties.
- Exhibit the core values of Ogi (Emotional Intelligence, Attention to detail and Simplification) in your interactions with customers and team members.
- Pay close attention to detail when performing all baking activities.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of previous baking experience.
- Excitement to promote Ogi’s culture of inclusiveness.
- Ability to work a changing schedule as needed.
- Ability to work with management to try out new ideas.
- Must be able to move around the bakery as you bend down for bags and reach up for cupcake trays.
- Can lift at least 50 pounds, carrying cupcake trays, cupcake batter, frosting, and bags of boxed purchases.
- Ability to work on your feet for hours at a time.
